A Personal Note from our founder- Sophe Grace: The Journey Continues!

Hello, beautiful Salt Sister community! It’s Sophe here, and I’m beyond thrilled to share what I’ve been up to. This past year has been filled with growth, transformation, and so much excitement, and I can’t wait to let you in on what’s been happening behind the scenes.

Three years ago, I launched Salt Sister, a brand born from my passion for travel, beach style, and conscious living. At the time, I was a young, adventurous woman traveling the world as a First class crew member for Emirates Airline. After over 10 years in the skies, visiting 120+ countries and countless cities, I recently took a giant leap, resigning from my career to focus full-time on two of my greatest loves—motherhood and Salt Sister. It’s been a wild ride, juggling life as a mother to an energetic two-year-old boy, (with another little one on the way!), navigating jetlag and working 120 hours a month whilst growing my brand, but every moment has been worth it.

During what may have seemed like a “quiet” period online, I’ve been far from idle. I dedicated this time to perfecting our collections, refining our production processes, and distributing our designs to some of the most luxurious hotels in Dubai, Bali, and Zurich. This shift allowed me to bring some of our new collections closer to home, with certain production runs now based in the UAE. The result is a more streamlined process that reduces environmental impact and fosters a personal connection with my team. Sustainability is not just a trend for us; it’s a core value, and we are committed to continually improving while making sustainable luxury accessible for all.

Salt Sister has grown alongside me, evolving from a playful swimwear label into a versatile resort wear brand that embraces timeless style, adaptability, and a commitment to conscious fashion. Our soon to launch Indah Laras crochet collection is just the beginning, with more exciting drops coming, featuring designs that cater to modern women at any stage of life. The beloved Freedom Collection remains a staple, offering classic styles made from high-quality recycled fabrics for women who value lasting fashion.

(Yes, it's me in my new mama boss lady era!)

Our recent brand refresh Isn’t just a new look—it’s about infusing the heart and soul back into everything we do. I have and am still revisiting every detail, from adjusting pricing to ensuring every piece tells its own story. And when I say “we,” I really mean me. Salt Sister is truly a one-woman show. I’m involved in every aspect, from sketching designs and sampling (which can be a 6 month process or more), to traveling for production visits, running the website, editing photos, organizing shoots, packing your orders, stocking hotels, and answering your comments and emails. This brand is my passion, and every effort I put in is driven by my dream of bringing you something special.

The journey of Salt Sister mirrors my own evolution as a woman, as a mother, and as a creator. So, to all the Salt Sisters out there, thank you for being part of this ever-growing sisterhood. This is just the beginning, there’s so much more to come. Check out our revamped website, our new pricing, explore our latest collections (Indah Laras is dropping on Monday 28th 10 am ), and stay tuned—because the best is yet to come!

Love,
Sophe xoxo
